William Scott Collins was born, the last of four children, and raised in Wauchula, a small town in Central Florida. William Scott started playing music at an early age. When he was only five years old, his parents Dr. Wilbur and Janet Collins enrolled him into guitar lessons.  Never satisfied with one thing, William Scott would try many different instruments before graduating high school.  One of the biggest influences for William Scott, musically, was his high school band director.  He taught all of his students the importance of consistency and repetition.  With that, William Scott understands why "practice makes perfect."

William Scott has played in many different bands throughout his music career.  One of the first, as a drummer, was Laredo, a three vocalist band out of DeFuniak Springs Florida. Laredo was short lived and William Scott, along with Bassist Dwayne Langston, teamed up with Lead guitar player Duel Chavez and created Whiskey Bayou.  This was a three man "jam" band that played many venues in the panhandle of Florida.  After the break up of Whiskey Bayou in 2004, Scott settled down and just played music with friends until the night a phone call from Dwayne Langston changed everything.  Scott was now the new drummer for local Modern Country band, Emerald County Line.  Emerald County Line, still performing today, is made up of six musicians that play all over the Panhandle and South East.  Some venues  played were the Natl' Shrimp and Seafood Festival,  Concerts in the Parks Series in Panama City, The 2006 Suwannee River Jam, in Live Oak Florida and the 2006 American Heart Association Cattle Barons Ball in Panama City Beach, just to name a few.  But, in 2007,  Scott came home to Live Oak seeking new employment and left Emerald County Line.  Not long after re-settling in Suwannee County, William Scott decided it was time to get back into the music scene.  So, after putting up a few ads in the local music stores, he landed a drumming spot with a local cover band where Scott eventually moved up to Lead vocalist.

Scott's skill to connect with people comes from 13 years of serving his fellow citizens as a professional Firefighter / EMT.  He knew he was meant for the job after getting a second degree burn to the right shoulder in a structure fire as a volunteer.  "As soon as my shoulder healed, I signed to the fire academy!",  William chuckles, "I said to myself, this is your calling."  But, even with that chapter in life satisfied, music would still be his first love.

Fast forward to November 2008.  Scott along with Jamie Ganote, Ricky Mullins and Rick Randlett create SILVERADO and the rest is history.
